About Raise.me: Raise.me is a social enterprise working in partnership with the White House and over 180 colleges to expand access to higher education by improving the way students prepare for college—both financially and academically. Rather than waiting until the end of high school to award aid, which is often too late to impact a student’s college ambitions or choices,Raise.me enables students to earn grant aid throughout high school, starting as early as 9th grade, for doing all the things that best prepare them to succeed, whether that’s getting good grades, volunteering in the community or joining an extracurricular. The amount that students earn from a college on Raise.me represents a guaranteed minimum amount of aid they’ll receive if they apply and are admitted to that college.

CSEA (CALIFORNIA SCHOOL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION) DEPENDENT SCHOLARSHIP: 

Graduating senior, Dependent child of CSEA member.

Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, character, leadership and extra curricular activities within the community. Financial need may also be taken into consideration on some. There are graduating high school senior, community college and college or vocational school scholarships.

ITALIAN CATHOLIC FEDERATION - Graduating senior, GPA 3.2 minimum, are Roman Catholic and of Italian descent, or if either parent is a member of ICF student must be Roman Catholic but does not need to be of Italian descent.  Based on academics, financial need, leadership role, extracurricular activities.

Amount:  lst year $400, 2nd year $500 3rd year $600 4th year $1,000

Deadline:  March 15, 2017

 

JAPANESE AMERICAN CITIZENS LEAGUE , VENTURA COUNTY: Graduating senior, any American or Japanese or part-Japanese ancestry living or attending school in Ventura County. Planning to attend a 2 or 4 year college or trade school in fall 2017.

Deadline:  03/15/2017

 

CALIFORNIA ALARM ASSOCIATION:  Graduating senior, parent or guardian must full-time, active duty police officer, firefighter, paramedic or EMT,  proof of acceptance to a college or university, SAT and/or ACT scores

Amount:  $1,000 local, $4,000 state, $2,500 or $7,500 for national

Deadline:  03/24/17

 

12TH DISTRICT PTA SCHOLARSHIP- Seniors that have exhibited outstanding service and volunteerism to their school and community.  Must be a member of PTSA.

AHEPA FAMILY SCHOLARSHIPS - Lena Simitzi Memorial (Women) and Bill Gatsios Memorial (Men) Scholarships 

American Hellenic Educational and Progressive Association (AHEPA) is the largest non-partisan, non-denominational Greek-American Association in the world. Application Requirements/Criteria:  Graduating Senior who is a Ventura County resident for at least 1 year prior to application.

Greek Descent or related to a member of the Order of AHEPA or the Daughters of Penelope 

U.S. Citizen, Full-time student (12 units or more)

Academic transcript, Essay and personal statement, Instructor recommendations

Applications available in the CCC Room 5-10

Amount:  $500 each

Deadline:  03/31/2017

 

BLACKS IN GOVERNMENT- Graduating senior, planning to attend an accredited college in Fall 2017, GPA  2.75 or higher, 2 letters of recommendation, essay

AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITY WOMEN-  Graduating female senior, GPA 3.0 or higher

AMERICAN PUBLIC WORKS ASSOCIATION, VENTURA CO CHAPTER:  Graduating senior entering college in an engineering/public works related major (See list on application)

BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF GREATER VENTURA - EMMA NYLEN SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Graduating Senior with a GPA of 2.0 or higher, who is a current or past resident of Ventura County.
